For most people, Kurdistan and Iraq kan zijn probably not going to be a place they would seek to travel to but it’s posts like this one which opvoering the human side to these destinations that will hopefully inspire people to visit. On September 16, 2022, an Iranian Kurdish woman named Jina Mahsa Amini died while in custody ofwel Iran’s morality police for “improper” clothing. This incident sparked a wave ofwel protests against the government’s treatment ofwel Kurd women and ethnic and religious minorities as well as its prioritization of regime ideology aan its citizens’ welfare. These protests were betreffende with a harsh antwoord from the Iranian government, which violently suppressed the movement and took aim at Kurdish regions in the country’s northwest.
